The Barnstaple Children's Centres are Victoria House Children's Centre, Sticklepath Children's Centre, Yeo Valley Children's Centre and Forches Children's Centre. We are here to offer a wide range of free services and support to families with children under 5. Do I have to pay?
No, all our Children Centre services are fully funded through the grant we recieve from the government via Devon County Council. There are some services that run in our buildings that may ask for a small charge towards resources and other children's centres in some areas may charge for services. Do I need to Register?
Yes. You can download and complete a registration form here and bring it with you, or ask for one when attending any of our services. What can I gain from coming?
There are many benefits from attending The Barnstaple Children's Centres. You will get the opportunity to meet other parents with children of a similar age to yours and our freindly staff are on hand to answer any questions you might have about the development of your child. As well as this, you will have access to a wide range of local resources through one point of call. Who can access services?
Anyone living in the Barnstaple areas with a child under 5 - mums, dads, grandmothers and grandfathers, and anyone else who is a carer of a child under 5.
We aim to offer the best start in life for every child aged from 0-5 years. We provide information and services for families with young children and aim to build on existing good services rather than creating new ones where it's not necessary. This means we have links with loads of agencies that can offer support in a variety of ways. We're your one-stop-shop for finding out what's available for your family and connecting you with the services that are right for your family's needs. Come and join us for crafts, activites and face painting. For the brave ones amongst you we will be inviting some creepy crawlies to test your mettle. The action takes place at Sticklepath Children's Centre on Saturday 1st June between 10am-2pm. The event is free and we will be laying on tea and bacon butties. We hope to see you there!!
